The results of yesterday Science IHC Final are as follows:
BW - 235 pts
MT - 203 pts
BB - 196 pts
HH - 161 pts
MR - 156 pts

Beatrice Wong - the Mathematics specialist
Tan Zek Gian - the Astronomy specialist
Zhao Qi - the Biology specialist
Darren Foong - the Chemistry specialist
Tan Toon Wei - the Medicine specialist
Lady luck was really not on our side, with us getting the only random 1 mark OMG question (worth 20 ppts originally). The series of unfortunate events and sad twist near the end took our 1st away, but it can never take away our pride of having the most organized sign-ups as well as best welfare initiatives. Folks who participated/came down, thank you!

Yesterdays's results!Water Polo - 2ndWater Polo was said to be a two-horse race between MT and MR, but with amazing spirit, and unbelievable energy, our waterpolo boys upset the odds and captured a 2nd place finish. Led by the new waterpolo captain
Brandon Chong, the amazing effort was epitomized by unbelievable workmanship from
Ong Woo Sheng, whose incredible workrate even saw him cramp up, a rare occurence given his impeccable fitness levels. This display by the boys was enough to clinch second and will certainly be rememberd as a fantastic result!
Soccer - 5th
Despite Buckley being the interhouse soccer champions last year in RI, the interhouse soccer tournament in RJC posed an entirely different challenge. With many key players unavailable due to being in the soccer team, as well as certain key players playing in other sports, the players put up a great fight and the teams were edged out in very close encounters. Credit should also be given to the girls,
Germaine,
Michelle,
Carmen and
Vinna, who gave a 100% in the hope of helping BB retain the interhouse championships! So what if we came in 5th? Early days!
Netball - 5th
The cross between basketball and captain's ball similarly saw a mixture of guys and girls competing in the hope of winning points for their house. Undoubtedly, the BB team fought hard, but eventually, there has to be a winner, a runner-up, a third placed finish, a fourth placed team and a fifth place squad. Luck wasn't on our side, but with such high spirits, you can count on BB to turn things around. Bring it onnnnn!
Many thanks to all BBians who fought bravely and tirelessly, and those who came down to lend moral support. All of you have contributed to BB's progress to the top one way or another, and
we will make it there! Do not be disheartened for there are many more IHCs to go (: and of course, what's important is that you guys have fun!
In the meantime, do try to participate in IHCs should you be free and do your part to bring BB to greater heights!

For Chinese Cultural IHC our 3 teams got individual 2nd, 3rd and 4th placing! Since only 1 team is allowed to advance to the final round from each house, our team 2, comprising of
Xie Zenien,
Yu Kuangnan and
Zhang Minzhe.
Please catch them in the final round on Wed 30th Jul at MPH during Assembly period (1230 - 130pm)! (:
For our Waterfeste IHC, our 3 teams fought really hard, and had a lot of fun at the same time too. (: Our house got 4th placing overall.

Buckle Buckley 2008-2009!

Hey BB-ians,
As we kickstart our term, we would like to ask you to join us in moving our house forward. This blog will be our avenue for regular updates, information, standings... Everything you would like to know about our house. We step into this new year as defending champions.
The IHC season is coming up so get ready for signups and updates right here. Here's a chance for you to get more involved in BB! For any of those IT-savvy and passionate BB-ians who would like to help spice up our blog, please send me an email with your name, class and contact number!
In the spirit of the post-CT depression :P here's a quote for you to ponder.
Never take life too seriously, nobody gets out of it alive anyway!

Buckle-Buckley House Directorate & House Committee 2008/2009
The BB House Committee, known as the
BB Grassroots are a bunch of enthusiastic and hardworking people who are willing to go the extra mile to help organise house initiatives for the welfare of all you BBians out there! This year, the grassroots have taken on a revamped role, and selected after a stringent interview process. The current Grassroots system splits the members up into various house events which they are keen to help in. They will then assist the House Directorate like a non-council House Comm.
Some of the activities the Grassroots of 2008/2009 have helped to organise and carry out so far are the BB-HH combined post promos party, BB Goes Green, BB OMG, as well as publicity inititatives such as blog maintenance, WUTTW, and not forgetting, IHC sign-ups!
