"I believe that everything happens for a reason. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."- Marilyn Monroe

Hello Buckle Buckley (:
So IHC 2008 has officially ended and it's time to round up this season. BB finished in 4th placing, and we didn't manage to keep our championship for the 4th time running this year, but guess what? BB is still the place I call home, it's where I know I want to be and where my heart lies forever. As much as it sounds like a National Day song, it really comes from deep within me because BB has left me prouder than I have ever felt in my entire life.

Throughout the season, there's always much enthusiasm and bounce going around, with you guys coming up to ask which IHCs are coming up, if you can play for BB and how BB has been doing. Even when BB was down, when we were in 5th place, there were still generous pats on the back, encouraging smiles and never a dip in our drive :)

Something to remember; BB never ever gave up and we always pressed on. Even if we knew we were on the losing end, we gave it our all anyway. We always gave our best and we had the courage to keep fighting till the very end.

And the very end indeed :) National Day; the day where everything was drawing to a close, where there were soso many concurrent activities. As I hurried around the various venues, the only colour that I noticed was green. Everyone at booth games, or around the school, in gorgeous green shirts. I stood there to take in the sight, and instantly I was reminded of BB's immense strength and spirit. To keep going, keep doing anything and everything they can, in the hope that it all pays off.

It did pay off, with BB coming in 1st for Mass Games :) Believe me when I say pride was swelling up in me when I heard that result. Winning Mass Games just goes to show BB really has what it takes to call ourselves a house. Where everyone is willing to help BB out, showcase their love and passion for BB in their own little ways. We're champions in our own way, even if don't hold the championship trophy this year. We're winners because we have every single BBian backing us in our efforts, and because every BBian is more than willing to give what they have for this place they call home.

Just like the quote above says, BB has come out of IHC season stronger than before. The House Directorate and House Committee has never stopped believing in the powers of BB, and we're now even more driven and bursting with drive to give you all that we can.. to continue soaring as winners.

BB FTW (:

On Wings of Courage,
Natalie

Mass games - 1st (:
The break between the end of school and the beginning of the National Day celebrations saw many BBians, clothed in their amazingly pleasingly-coloured house shirts, enthusiastically participating in many of the games available. Yes, you played a very important part when you pieced that annoyingly difficult puzzle together, when you rummaged in the box for balls that read "There's a part for everyone", when you jumped to answer the challenging trivia questions on Singapore, when you tried your very best to identify who was genuinely Made In Singapore... thank you all BBians for your invaluable contributions to this success! (:

Track
3rd

Photos will be up soon. Well done BB, for never giving up (:

Final standings
BW 148
HH 137
MT 121
BB 113
MR 110

This is possible only because of YOU. Before mass games we were still stuck in 5th place, but after each one of us took the effort to come down and played out part, we did climb up. So please please BB, the last thing we should ever do is to give up (in fact it should never ever be attempted at all!), we are capable of so much! Against all those mocking and belittling comments made by others, we stood firm, stood proud. We deserve a pat on the back. Well done BB!

Floorball - 3rd

Firstly, a HUGE THANK YOU goes out to all participants, for persevering when the game is not to our advantage, for practicing so hard for your IHCs, and for encouraging us. It is really your effort that made the difference. FIGHT ON BB! WE CAN DO IT!

Joint 4th with MR currently, and there's still a long long way to go. We're 2 points behind MT, which makes it really easy for us to overtake them. Similarly, it's possible for them to dump us behind again very easily. It's the final leg of the race, and we believe that as long as all of us do our part there's nothing that can stop us. JIAYOU!
